Sorry. Been away but yes, fx5 arrived and I'm working on getting things set up. Slow but steady here... We had a little trouble with the tank (as in forgot it was heavy and needed to get people free to help get it from car to house). But all is well now :P Set up pictures to come as I work on this. Poor Sheldon she has been looking at the tank wondering who is moving in next door. I keep telling her it's for her but I dont think she believes me any more :P

They're great at feeling vibrations, especially when they're in the water. They almost always know when I walk by the tank. :)

Yes, sorry for not responding sooner. I got the fx5 and have been happy with it so far. I just moved Sheldon over recently and she is doing well. We are definitely still not as finished as I would like to get but it's home for her now, at least until I get more spare time to do more for her. Pics to follow

And yes I know they can't hear, but that doesn't stop me from talking anyway :P

Actually, they can hear. It's just that their frequency range is much smaller than humans, and their ears are designed to favor underwater hearing.

Check out a very technical paper on RES hearing.
