I'm a fan of the Rena XP3. It's quiet, has big open filter baskets, and great flow for water movement with larger tanks. Only drawback is that it can be a bit of a pain to prime initially.

Clear water is NOT clean water. It's lack of space to hold bio media landed it on our non-recomended filter list. The rena XP3/XP4 are great filters and the FX5 is the clear turtle filter champ for a few bucks more.
