I haven't been happy with my fluval. Today I put in a new Marineland Penguin 200 Bio-Wheel Power Filter. Does anyone use this? What's your experience with it? I just took the fluval out all together.

I wasn't happy with my fluval canister filter, but I replaced mine with an xp3. How big of a tank do you have? The tank I purchased came with one of the penguin filters, but I have never used it, I knew I needed something more.

My tank is just a 20 gallon, and I purchased one that was rated for a 50 gallon tank. I'm glad to hear that I wasn't the only one not happy with the fluval. I'm still going to try returning the fluval even though it is used. The pet store sold it to me knowing my set up. So, I think that they should give my money back since it didn't work.

I was planning to buy a second filter when I upgrade the tank size. Does anyone know if it's o.k. to combine filters instead of buying one rated for a large tank?

many people with large tanks use more than one filter. I have found witht the xp3 that I don't need another filter, but for now I only have a 75
