Here is the "Kent Pro-scraper" Algae scraper I bought, complete with the mop. Sheba was walking around as I took pictures, and decided to come check it out in the 2nd shot, LOL.

Do they come in smaller versions? I would never need anything that long or big for my turtle's containers. Sheba is adorable! I would want to pick her up and hug her all the time if she was mine!

Yes, they definitely do have the scraper in a much shorter (12") version (I think mine is around 18-20" long). I would do a search on the brand ("Kent") and see what turns up.

LOL! Unfortunately, Sheba doesn't like to be hugged. She struggles, just like a little kid getting a bear hug from an over-bearing grandparent! LOL!

To answer your question, I don't know if she liked the new scraper, but she sure was curious about it when I was scraping the algae in her tank recently! I really had to watch my hand (which was close to the water level) to make sure she didn't accidently bite me, thinking it was food. Egads.
