This would be true of heat lights, but I don't think a 26-watt UVB flourescent light would give off that much more heat that one of a lower wattage. Florescent UVB lights don't give off much heat, which is why a heat light is also needed.
I recently saw Repti-Glo UVB companct flourescents for sale in Petsmart. I was surprised at how inexpensive they were.
