How big is your turtle? Do you see any tilting or sliding of the shelf when they get up on it to bask... Also Plastic? Really? I would be worried that the basking bulbs would melt that..

My turtles are about a year old I don't think this would be good for large turtles. No melting. It measures 9 3/4 x 15 3/4

Glad to hear it isn't having issues with the heat. Its a shame it wouldn't be effective for larger turtles. I have the largest Turtle Dock and while it works I like the look of the shelf you have there.

UPDATE....OK I did not mention the fact the first one I bought was broken into 5 prices because Amazon was great with the return and sent me a new one over night for free. Now the new one was in the tank for 9 days. I walked up to the tank this morning to see it half sunk. From what I can guess is that the 60 watt bulb I use for heat cracked it? I will not recommend for anyone to buy this turtle bank. The picture is of the first one I bought. The plastic it is made from is brittle .

Wow, that sucks. How's the packing inside the retail box? Any paper or foam inserts to protect it?

Small plastic air bags on one side. Not near enough protection!

They are that's one of the reasons I shop there. The first one I didn't even have to send back because it was broken so bad.I didn't see any flaws in the second one? Until today that is.I seen a review on amazon that said "Needs a drain plug" Now I know why.
