I don't think my Fluval 2 is cutting it for the babies tank and I am wondering if I add their Duetto DJ 100 filter as a 2nd filter if that would help or if I should try another filter? I don't wan't anything that takes up too much space in the tank (the duetto is really thin but does put out a really nice flow) or anything the babies could get trapped in (they are around 2 inches now). I have come to find out that the babies are not eating their lettuce that I have been giving them daily but instead they are shredding it into tiny little bitty pieces and creating a pretty messy tank.

If you don't mind the sound, you could use a waterfall filter. I had an aquaclear for my 35 gal for a while and it seemed alright. I think they're a reasonable price usually too.

I would never be able to sleep LOL. I have a screen top on their tank too so it wouldn't fit, thanks for the suggestion though :)

20 gallons is a tight squeeze for 2 2inch turtles, it might just be time to upgrade them.

B-mom, -- Meg-mod. is correct. A 20-gallon for 2 two inches is a tight squeeze with no room to grow. With a total of 4 inches of turtles, a 40 would be the minimum size. You may want to consider a 55 with a 350-gpm-canister filter. If you do that you will skip a step in the up sizing you are going to have to do. b.
