Hi Everyone,
Im new to the forum. Just wanted to ask a quick question. I want to buy a 75 gallon tank for my RES, would an XP3 be sufficient. I think it would only because I am not going to fill the tank all they way. My RES is 4-5 inches long.

Sure would. I have and XP3 running in a 110 Gallon, and it keeps it very clean.

Yes, but be careful about the prices. A year ago these filters went for $100, now they are around $150. It's still a good filter, but you also have good options in this range (Eheim, Fluval).
