I wanted to build my own stand for my 30 gallon tank...Has anyone done this before?? Does anyone have plans,pics,or tips??

This link is essentially what I built but for a 75g. The stand is amazingly solid, I feel like it's better than what I could have bought in a store, and it was much much cheaper. I edited mine down to a 55g stand and it's been perfect.

^ That's the same one (slightly modified) for my 75 and 90 gallon. But 30 gallons are a lot smaller. Perhaps you could try a 4-legged version of that one

I was hoping for something more *for dummies*...Those are really nice though

I just don't have many tools at the current time...I was looking more for something I could have Lowes cut to length and I could build LOL

You can get one of those metal ones used in garages.

Someone on here has a very nice one that's mostly 2x4s I think.
Since a 30 gallon isn't super heavy I think you could get away with something like that... the 4x4s are probably overkill.
I think it was octopus girl who had the black stand I'm thinking of, I'd pm her and see.

It's a 75 gallon standard tank. It looks much fancier now BTW, that's an old picture.

You could also consider getting a sturdy table, I had a nice little oak stand for my 30 gallon tank. I wouldn't recommend regular furniture for larger tanks, but for a 30 you should be fine.
Just make sure it's real furniture and not something of questionable strength like particle-board.

oh I didn't realize it was only for a 30 gallon tank, you would be fine with a good strong table like meg said. If you ever do want to build the stand though I would be happy to help you along.
