Ok, so here is how this goes. Today i woke up and looked over at my turtle tank, and low and behold, i see something brown on a suction cup (where my fake plant attaches) so i was intrested to see what it was. Well sure enough, i twas a snail. No freaking clue how it got there. So i took him/her out immediatley and put it in my guppy tank.

Any idea where this lone snail came from?

They like to travel on vegetables. Also if you have let your turtle run around outside they could have hitched a ride back to the tank. We ran into the same problem. If it has already layed eggs then you may see more snails in the future and good luck getting rid of them.

my turtle has only been offered greens out of a bag, and even then they only stay in the tank for a little bit, my turts reject them as of now.

And so far their biggest adventure was moving from their old tank to the new.

that happens? Really? Damn, that's stupid. So now, should i get rid of this snail? Or let him roam the guppy tank? He wont go laying 15million eggs will he? I mean i dont want to put him in the big tank again because if the turtles dont eat him, then he will just make that place a mess.

Any idea how long it takes for a snail to hatch? I'll be watching my tank.

I've never seen snails come in bagged veggies from the grocery store, usually they come in on aquatic plants.

oh even better. well at least that limits the posibilites of where it came from. Either:
-PetSmart
-1 of 2 local pet stores i got live plants from.

You could have left it in with your turtle and the snail could be a snack, or you can leave it in with your guppies.

but will it relay eggs? My turtles dont eat the guppies so idk if they will go for the snail, but i dont want an infestation.

It might, or might not, but if it was and it was in your tank already it may have and snails are a lot easier to catch than guppies.

If it lays eggs it will lay many. The entire inside of my tank and the surface of everything in it and the entire inside of the filter was covered with egg sacks. They are very difficult to see.

Sounds like you have a good solution to algae in your tanks.

ok, so i woke up this morning and looked into my guppy tank, i already have 4 snails in there. If i were to feed these snails to my turtles, do i need to deshell them or anything like that? This will drive me insane.

I think i know where it came from because i had my other plants in there for well over 3 weeks and no snails, now suddenly a week or two after getting new plants and this happens?

Great, just great, i should call the petstore where it came from and see what they want me to do.

anyways feeding these guys to my turtles, shell? no shell?
