Turts came home Saturday. I put them in a 55 gallon tank for now with a Filstar filter. Flip is still not eating. She has had two antibiotic injections and an assisted feeding at the vet. She is staying on the dock and barely getting into the water. I tried shrimp and soaking the reptomin sticks in shrimp juice also added anachris plant. I had every intention of taking them out in the sun but it has been dreary and rainy every since they came home :(

If she was injected with Baytril, it could be contributing to the lack of appetite. Keep trying, though (I think tuna or sardines are more smelly than shrimp).

Flip is back at the vet. Still no eating, won't swim, eyes closed most of the time. They will try more antibiotic injections and assisted feeds today and tomorrow. If she isn't showing any sign of improvement, we will have to euthanize her. :(

Oh dear. I'll be thinking of you and Flip and pulling for you. Sounds like the vet is doing everything that can be done. Good luck.

I'm sorry to hear that. If Flip is having difficulty seeing, he might not want to eat. Have you taken him outside to get some sunshine? Have you tried live foods and smelly foods?

Flip passed away yesterday. She was at the vets office getting treatments but she just didn't make it :(

I'm so sorry to hear it. :( Please take some comfort in knowing that you did all you could.

I'm so sorry Flip didn't make it. He had the very best care - sometimes it just isn't meant to be. Now you can shower little Scooter with attention. Keep a close eye on him in case he caught the RI from Flip.
