He's from florida, pretty sure, and a friend of the family, or rather a friend of my parents, had bought him. Which seems really weird considering I'm pretty sure it's illegal to sell any turtle, besides RES's in florida... :x He said he bought him at a flea market, a man had a couple in a small tank and knowing very well I loved turtles. :? Out of no where he bought him. Thankfully I still had Snappy's old aqarium, but I haven't filled it with water, I have a feeling he/she's a box turtle. So I only have about an inch of water and a pile of dirt with some bark and leaves scattered about. But if he/she's not a box turtle, then I have a dilemma because I don't want to have an illegal pet in the house, and even worse someone out there is selling them... :?

I can't tell from the pic, but are the hind feet webbed? He looks a little like a striped mud turtle to me.

It looks like either a florida or ornate box turtle.
