My baby turtle recently got bitten by my other turtle :( I made the mistake of putting them together. Well, now the baby limps...both arms are wounded. So it looks like it walks on it's chest and back legs. I have put antibiotic cream on it but is there anything else I can do?? It is still eating...just has two bruised arms. How long will it take to get better???

Broken bones?? She's so tiny...
Should I try getting it to eat anything special or anything? When it tries to swim, the front part of her body is mostly in the water because she doesn't put pressure on the hands  I feel so horrible!

No...I'm a poor college student! :(
But if I don't see any improvement by the end on this week, I'll try my best to get it there.
She can move the arms, one just looks a little bent it and the other one she keep near or almost in the shell.

One thing a vet recommended to me many yrs ago when Sheba got a sprained arm was to keep her in the water; floating in the water helps a broken bone in this case. Don't allow them to put any weight on it or try to use the limb to climb up on a basking dock. That will mean the turtle will most likely need to be in (extremely clean) water for a couple of weeks.

There is no way to put a cast on the broken/sprained limb, unfortunately.

Do the limbs respond to a gentle touch?

Tortuga is doing much better! Thanks for all the help.
Her limbs have not completely healed, but she can swim and climb up on her basking rock. :)

Well, that sounds good. :) It sounds like a little time was needed to help her recover.
