Can someone please give me a link to the tube cleaners on bigals? I can't seem to find them. And is there anything else that you will need to clean your xp3 with?

Try a long wooden dowel or plant post and push a piece of moist paper towel through it. Do it slowly or you'll get brown gunk all over the place.

I guess you know to change the biochem zorb every month and also the white micro filter pad that sits at the top of the canister (if you use it). I use a plastic dish scrubber (soap and chemical free) to wipe everything down and a bucket to hold the tank water for cleaning bio filter media. I keep a bottle of clorox handy and dilute it to use to clean up the kitchen sink real thoroughly after I've cleaned the filter.

That's all. :D

What is the biochem zorb? I was just thinking about cleaning the tubes and the white filter pad at the top of the filter.

The Biochem Zorb is the activated carbon pouch that is in the filter. It should be changed every 1-3 months depending on need. It keeps the stinky smell down. Also rinse out the black pads and the actual canister when doing the cleaning.

I never clean in the kitchen. That's where all the food we eat go. I use the bathtub or bathroom sink.

PeaceOut - Do you cook raw chicken? And then wash your hands in the sink? Then you've already exposed your sink to more Salmonella than your turtle water will probably expose. And as SpotsMama mentions, she sanitizes the sink with bleach afterwards. You probably don't even want to know what creatures are crawling around your sink if you don't sanitize it ... On a side note, I use the bathtub also, but I have to sanitize it afterwards with some bleach because my cats are always playing in the bathtub.
