somehow he found a pink clear plastic spoon fun and that was good to watch him play with that but now he gets bored after a couple of mins so i was wondering what i could give him that would entertain him for a while

he's a very sociable turtle and i still go to collage or (high school for you Americans :) ) and i dont want him to get too bord

i will test all your suggestions

i've heard of people using ping pong balls and bubble stones are a big hit with the turtles. Rolo loves the bubble stone! :)

Heh, thats kinda a funny story. Sylar was a surpize X-mas gift from my husband's best friend. He gave me the turtle while I was still at work and said "I got you guys this turtle, and I named him Sylar".....
He's named after the bad guy on the TV series "Heroes".

I figured that's where the name Sylar came from! That character is soooo bad!

And other good "toys" are sometimes a very large marble at the bottom of the tank will entertain them because they have to inspect anything in their tank. You can change up the decorations frequently, that'll keep him busy. And I discovered, and use this with caution and at your discretion, if you use a dry erase marker, you can doodle on the tank, which caused my turtle to go nuts. I warn about it because my turtle was kind of bumping into the tank with his mouth open (he tries to eat everything, including the one decoration I had in there ...). You have to make sure that the turtle doesn't become obsessed with the markings and that they don't hurt themselves. My opinion is draw a doodle, give your turtle a few minutes with it, then erase it. Turtles are super curious, so any environmental change will interest them.

thats so funny you should say that because the other day i was just watching yurtle and i was holding a whiteboard marker...so i though hay i wonder if this would work, i drew a fish on the tank and he went up to it and inspected it for a min then gt bord

.it was funny to watch him go to the individual pictures on the tank and try and eat them or scratch them off :)

Turtles like a few river rocks that they can push around and flutter at. they also love to swim back and forth in bubbles like from a filter or a bubble rock. They like to play with (ie, rip to pieces) aquatic plants like anacharis.

I put a strip of reflective tape across the bottom of mine's tank and he LOVES IT! I was afraid he might try to attack it or something, but he doesn't he just sneaks around looking or swims by watching himself.
