Hello from down under (australia)

I have been lurking in the forum for sometime now and thought i had better join up and introduce myself
We dont have Red Ear turtles down here because of quarantine regulations and wildlife etc.

But we do have Mary river turtles

Hi and welcome! I love this species of turtle! If I'm not mistaken, they're one of the 25 species that are considered to be the most threatened in the world in the wild. (I've got to locate some notes I took a few years back.) They're captive bred and sold as pets where you are?

I also think I remember reading that RES in Australia are considered to be invasive pests and are destroyed if found/caught. Is this true?
