what do you think of this brownish skin?? Is it because the turtle just freshly hatched?

I know this site is for RES.. but I still wanna share my CGTT (if admin don't mind).. hehe.. they such a cute creature. I like the pattern of their skin as well as their shell.

Thank you. :D

Very cute! He has a vey pretty shell.

For the brown skin, I don't know. I would keep an eye on it, and make sure his water is clean.

@Painteds4Life - Thank you.. thank you :D I also like the shell pattern :D Unique.

@DragonLord - Thank you thank you :D The bucket just temporary until the baby completely shed his first dark brownish skin. I think the one you mention as basking platform also not available in Malaysia. So why don't you make one :D

@Bulldog - THank You~! :D My friend said that the baby just hatched, so the brownish skin is from the yolk (blood) that cover the whole baby body  I don't know how to explain but its like a 'first layer of baby skin' something like dat... dats what my friend told me :P as to make sure the fact is true so I will make sure the water is super clean as to see a different if any soon...

@Jozzep - THank You.. Thank You :D I already google the care sheet at ATP's website and almost like RES care sheet too.. :D so I have no problem to take care the baby.

The brown skin could very well be normal coloring. Maybe look up some photos of these species on Google images, and if the majority or all of them have brown skin then, it's basically normal.

I love the yawning photo, and that tail is awesome. Reminds me a lot of a snapper.
