They are currently sulking, as I have had to move them from their old tank for the night! I'm sure they'll be pleased tomorrow when they see their new home though!!!

Yes, I thought the wood would be good for them to hide under. (That sounds confusing!)

As for the basking area, I am going to have a platform to one side of the tank with cork bark on. Will it be okay to fill in the gaps between the pieces of bark with pebbles? I know you're not supposed to put them in the tank as they can eat them, but up on the basking platform I thought they'd be okay???

Cheers. :D

These are strips of corkbark you're using on the platform? If so, how big are the gaps between the pieces? If they're not that big, I don't know if I'd bother. You could silicone a few larger pebbles/rocks in between the pieces of corkbark to keep them in place, though, just to keep them from moving around...

Yes, I am siliconing some strips of bark to the platform, and as usual they just won't fit nicely into a square!

I think I will use some larger stones. It's just I has some pebbles lying in a bag and wanted rid of them! They can go in the bin instead! :D

I don't think you have to have the pieces fit nicely into a square. Depending on how big they are, having some gaps between the strips won't hurt, and would actually allow the plastron to dry off better when they're basking.
