I just got him a few days ago as an early 14th birthday present! I was told holding him would stress him out so I try not to, but he's sooo cute!
My pictures are a bit blurry, my camera isn't good at close-ups.

He loves to hide under his dock at night.

When ever I or my sister walk into my room he instantly hides in his shell. I'm hoping he'll eventually get used to people being around him, he came from a tank full of his siblings, an interesting baby soft shell, and a few baby Mississippi Maps.

He/she looks plenty cute. Might think about putting a tad more water in though. They do get kinda tired when they're young like that, but giving him/her enough water to get some more swimming done is good for em.

Also, I don't envy you having to clean up those rocks enough to keep em from getting grimey. That's gonna be a chore. =P

I would advise that you clear the rocks as your turtle could swallow one small enough, and die.

Yeah, I put more water in last night. My mom really doesn't want a whole lot of water in the tank (It's smelly.) but I keep putting in more anyhow. As for the rocks, I'm planning on taking them out once he/she gets a bit bigger, I know turtles will eat anything they can find that's smaller then their heads!

Do you have a filter? Carbon in the filter helps with the smell. It really doesn't matter how much water you have (for the smell). You need more water for your turtle to swim around.

Cute! My camera isn't good at closeups either, but then I switched to a video camera that takes stills and the pictures came out way better. Turtles don't actually need substrate. It's also a lot easier to clean the tank without any. It does look nice though.
