Habitat - Indoor :: white stuff on the bottom of the heater

Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

there is this stuff that collects on the bottom of the heater.
it's plaster like.does that mean that water quality is not good?
i do freaquent water changes , and have conditioner
someone please help!

i believe its mineral deposits.

Mineral deposits are formed from higher concentrations of minerals in the water. "Hard" water, with more minerals in it, is the cause, if indeed that's what the white is. It won't hurt your turtle, but it may, over time, cause a white build-up on the shell (not a real problem, just doesn't look that nice).

How big is the tank and how much water do you have in it? Do you have a filter? How frequent are the frequent water changes you spoke of? Do you have cuttlebone in the tank or do you put a powdered calcium supplement on the food?
