After a year having a bare bottom I got really bored and started to hate the way it looked. So I bought sand! I bought Quickcrete play sand 50LB bag at Lowes for only 4 bucks I cleaned it with a bucket and hose then scooped it out and put it in the aquarium which is a 40 gallon breeder. Then it got really cloudy to where I can only see a few inches into the tank

Its been like that for about a hour? now. I can't really tell if its settling or not the driftwood in the center is a tiny bit more visible now. I have both the filters running since there is no large sand particles floating around. I was surprised to see that my Aquaclear 200 didn't make the sand stir up. I also put 20 drops of

Ranger seems to like it he doesn't eat it which is a very good thing considering his past with the gravel. He does eat all his poop that falls to the bottom haha ew! He doesn't kick it up either when he does it settles really quick. So far I'm liking the change but not the cloudiness when will it settle?? I cleaned it well in the bucket it settled to have the water crystal clear. Here's a picture of it.
