Hi everyone! I'm new here. I have 3 red eared slider turtles. My best friend purchased them for her two sons and decided that they no longer wanted them. They were too much for her to take care of due to her job so I ended up with them a couple of months ago for my son. However, they are more mine than his it seems..lol I absolutely LOVE these turtles. I have grown SO attached to them. I never imagined I would become so attached to a turtle..lol I have three, to my knowledge they are all the same age, however, as humans, they grow at different rates. I have my largest one, Cujo, my middle one is Jan Brady, and my smallest one is Franklin. I just recently moved Franklin into a tank by himself due to the two bigger ones bullying him. He wasn't eating , basking, or sleeping well. He was just so stressed out. So I purchased everything for a new tank and put him in a smaller tank and left the other two in the 30 gallon. It seems to have really helped him. He is now swimming, basking, and for the first time this morning he is EATING. I was truly concerned. I am not very knowledgable about turtles, so I have read so many things to lead me to believe he is sick. When he sleeps a hurricane would not wake him. He almost looks dead, which scares me..but he always gets up happy

I am not sure why is sleeps more. Maybe tired from all the stress when he was in the other tank? I assume. Anyway, I am happy to have found this forum to gain some knowledge. I have spend a forturne to give my turtles everything they need, and I am so attached to them. I want to ensure that I am taking care of them in proper way!

I love reading all your posts, I am learning SO MUCH

Thanks to all!
