So i know i said i was going to get a water storage container thing and make it into a pond but the guy was trying to jip me and over price his junk so i bought a HUGE 8 foot and like 3 feet deep circlr drum like what they use for cattle water or food or what ever. Ill get some pictures soon. It came with 3 HUGE HUGE res plus my four small ones. And also came with two plecos like 10a inches each lol its cool.

right on looking forward to pics. I really want to get a 300 gallon stock tank for kaya. What are you gonna do for filtration? I think ill go with a homemade skippy filter when i get mine, with a little creativity you could make the output look like a cool naturaul waterfall.

Is it one of those bright blue stock tanks? At that size, it would also be 1128 gallons.

will try to upload some pics today when the girlfriend gets home. Its one of those big metal circle barrels that they use for like horse feeds or something. its really big. it came with 3 res that are really old and lay eggs every year. they are getting along great with our turtles and are already basking the first day when i got it together. i have not had much time to go out and mess with it and decorate it and the guy i got it from said he had a filter for it and then when he got here he gave me some BS Story how it didnt work so he didnt bring it...but thats craigslist for you. i have a old hand on double sided filter just sitting on it so at least something is happining untill i make a filter. its got this huge output for cleaning on the bottom so i think ima try to make something that attackes onto that and hopefully the pressure of the water will push it up and it will be like a waterfall self propelled by its own force if you guys get what i mean...

ok updated and fixed. also, the filter has no filteration in it because im working on fixing a filter up that will be able to actually do something for the pond. till then I have that for water movement at least and air for the two fish that are in there and the potatoes in the filter are sweet potatoes that make crazy vines and super huge roots that will grow very large in the pond. they are pretty cool plants. after they start rooting and growing im going to just free float them in the pond and let them go as crazy as they can

Looks sweet!

Any predator protection?

Temps in the summer sun might be a problem.

Id watch the temps too depending on how much sun it gets. You in arizona so yours temps are much high then pa but anyway, even though its not as big as yours but my 300g stock tank starts getting warm in the summer. Usually i empty half the water and add cool water from the hose. Only had to do it once last year.

http://www.skippysstuff.com/biofiltr.htm i think this would be the easiest and cheapest way to go for filtration, has anybody had any experience with this method? it seems like the way to go to me, and it would be easy to disguise it as a naturaul looking waterfall.
