it seems like your having the same issue i am, here is what i know from researching it online, The male TRies to entice the female with his flutter dance, she can choose to accept or reject him, usually the latter with smaller enclosures and long time roommates. Once this happens over a 2 or 3 mating seasons, the female has OFFICIALLY rejected the male for life, the male knows this and becomes SUPER aggressive, biting: the biting becomes SO aggressive that it can kill the female as she is NO use to him anymore. sadly The ONLY solution is to remove one of them .... or put a divider in the tank. i know its not what you want to hear, but i am going through the EXACT same thing right now.
