Toku is doing great. He will be 3 yrs old in Oct. He is growing steadily and his nails are finally coming out. One day I will have a nice enough camera to catch his claws in a photo. Till then you'll have to believe me, they are getting longer. Here is a couple pics:) Enjoy.........

This is a pic of one of my male and female guppies. There are about 14 guppies total; 6 fry and 8 adults. I haven't bought guppies since 2010 when we bought our first batch. Take that back I bought 4 miniature guppies with this crazy pattern and now they have color morphed into what you see today thru about 6 months of breeding. Those are four flathead and rosy minnows in the back ground that are the orginals that have been in the tank since Dec.

He looks great. Glad to know my male RES isn't the only one with insanely sharp rear claws. Has he fully shed, except for the marginals?

He is about half way thru his current shed right now, there is a few scutes to go along with the marginals. Thanks

His marginals look sharp too and are almost see thru. His rear nails do look very sharp but when I handle him they don't penetrate my skin. I had him outside for a while earlier and grabbed some pics when I brought him back in........

I caught him basking when I got home from school the other day.....

then to the water he went......

I tried to get the front claws, you can kinda see them here.....

Thanks, he is one cool turtle! I always share pics of him on here, as he grows. I'd say roughly every 3-6 months his pics grace this forum. Dumbork you are right I will need gloves soon;)

the basking pic looked great! I dunno, I'm partial to basking pictures of turtles compared to underwater pictures. their contemplative looks, the twitching, neck stretching, limbs extendind and the yawning -- so cute!

Toku looks awesome :). I have to agree with dumbork on the basking pics. I'm lucky my guy/gal doesn't have a problem with me shooting pics while he/she is soaking up some rays.
