Hi everyone I'm new to this forum but I've read and seen many ideas for a ATBA and I've built my own. However I'm having trouble with the ramp it's acrylic with fake grass on top but idk how I can hook it onto the base of the actual ATBA. Any tips on how ya connected your ramps? Will post pics soon

HI Eddie, have you tried using a heat source to bend the acrylic?

Yes, you can buy aquarium-safe silicone.

I found GE 100% silicone (not the fast-drying or the mildew-resistant) at Home Depot for about $5.
(Is that an ok kind? I didn't find any that said "aquarium safe" but that's the kind I found online under that reference.)

GE silicone I windows/doors is what some people use. Supposedly it used to say aquarium safe but removed for legal reasons. And supposedly some tank builders use the same stuff. The aquarium safe stuff (from All-Glass and Marineland) usually cost only a couple buck more.

I personally used the GE 100% Silicone 1* from Home Depot and it worked fine. Tested it with fish and turtles and all survived

I havent checked in for a while. Things are going great with Sammy's tank and basking area. I've made a couple minor changes. I replaced the flourescent fixtures in the hood with color changing LED's from Ikea, and I moved the Basking light and UVB to a Zoomed combo Mini Deep Dome with a hanging bracket hung on the back of the ABTA.

Here is a video that I never got around to posting here, Its before the lighting changes but everything else is the same.

Have a great Xmas everyone!

Excellent job! Everything is almost perfect, though I would remove the gravel and try either sand or go with a bare bottom.
