Extra Extra, the lastest and greatest...... I filled the tank last night but didn't get pics till today, due to the gunk from the old filter. Here is the tank full and clear.......
Here is the tank with the MVB hooked up measuring at 13" from the bulb to the top of the branch. I added the fish from the 40 gal before school this morning, 8 guppies, 1 minnow, 2 algae eaters and about 40 snails, yes 40 snails! My wife said save the snails, so I got all I could see and will leave the tank full for a day or two to see if anymore show up on the logs or glass. This took about two hours, good thing I got up early this morning. On the way home after class I stopped at petmart and stocked up on some more fish, 5 female guppies, 4 bala sharks, and 15 minnows......
I grabbed a moss ball too. Gonna try my luck with one of them, if it works out then I will grab a couple more.....
This is the setup under the tank. I have a GFCI powerstrip with 7 outlets mounted on the center beam in the back of the stand. Unfortunately I knew I was missing something, after I filled the tank and hooked everything up I realized I didn't get a GFCI wall outlet:( So I will have to wait till the next time I drain the tank to change that out. I'm using the extension cord for the light the cord wasn't long enough to reach the timer at the bottom of the power strip. Heres the two FX5s..........
So that's all folks! The tank is done for now and I like how it has turned out. Toku's new home is built and ready for it's new owner:) Thanks for all the kind words and advice, I truly appreciate it. Next is upgrading the lighting system to really make this tank shine! Til next time.....
