Other Turtle Discussion :: new guy

So today i get a call from a teacher at a montosory school. She asked me if id be interested in taking in another turtle. I asked if it was from the school or what? She said yes, in an elementary school class, but spring break started and they could not find someone to care for it. Plus it had been "neglected" except to be fed.
I went over today after work and picked it up. Meet Shelly



hes in very bad housing right now i know, but it is what he came in, its what i believe to be a 20 gallon, and he is about 3.5 inches long. He has never seen the sun, poor thing, and no uv.. just a heat lamp and a light... He has a few indentations in his shell, and some algae. But i plan on setting up the big 200 gallon pool tomorrow outside.my ol lady knows i just needed an excuse to get that big 75 gallon from the flea market.and im still holding out for a 120+, so we shall see!
He came with lots of good food pellets , has been eating right at least, will check how he is with veggies when he settles in.. he did eat tonight which always make s me think the ride wasnt that bad:P

Hoping he likes my pair, i know they are "usually " good about other turts and such, dont think my wife will let me get a second pool:P

Shelly looks pretty good considering. 200 gallons sounds great, will the other two be joining him?
