Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Hey i dont know if this is the right fourm page or not but, does anyone know a site or any site that sells tanks for a good deal ? Cause for the past couple days I've been doing alot of research on a upgrade tank for my turtle ( rasco). Right now i have a 10 gallon tank with UVA/UVB lights a filter and everything, I'm about to move pretty soon and i was going to buy a new set up for rasco and possible some more playmates for him.

Right now are the thing's I need and are the cheapest from what i was looking around :

Items -

75 Long - $175 http://www.glasscages.com/?sAction=ViewCat&lCatID=2

xp2 filter - 75 http://bigalsonline.com/catalog/product ... 885;pcid2=
I was going to get a xp3 but im pretty low on cash ;]

200 WATT - 7 bucks http://bigalsonline.com/catalog/product ... 231;pcid2=

Oh ya and I also have another question about rasco, is it possible for turtles to be hyper ? or too active ? Cause rasco oh boy man hes a hand full i would just watch him for 5 hours straights doing stuff. He would run around like crazy then jump into the pool of water and run back up then jump back down and doing like back flips in the water and like one time i was feeding him he bit me .. on purpose ... and he wouldnt let go, the other day i was bored so i brought him out of tank and put him on the floor ( near my couch while iw as watching tv ) and wow who ever said turtles are slow, must come and see rasco. he is like a bullet he ran every were i had to follow every were he went. he ran to the kitchen then to the bathroom and he ran out back to the living room and then he just stoped so i just sat back down on the couch, and he BIT MY TOE i guess he didnt like the taste or something and he got scared and hid in his shell.

i am no expert but i found through going to tons of stores in and around my area(columbus, OH) that you can usually find a good deal at normal pet stores. an example is that i found a 75 gallon with a built in overflow at petland for $185. and at another petland they had over stocked their 75 and 55 gallons and were selling the 75 gallon for $108.95 and the 55 gallon for $88.95. for the other stuff online is the best deal, and many people price match with petsmart which saves a lot. i am seen and known by all the poeple at petland and pet supplies plus because i love pet stores!!!

Be sure to check your local classified ads and websites like craigslist.org and freecycle.org. You can find very reasonable deals on tanks by keeping an eye on places like this.

Also, check ebay for custom tanks. Look at the locations to see if they are located near by, then you could pick it up.

I found my tank on Craigslist.org. This petstore had a lot of tanks on hand and were selling them pretty cheap. It's a brand new 60 gallon tank with a glass top and I paid $70 for it.
Search eBay for sellers near you. A lot of times there are filters and other supplies included.
Also tell everyone you know that you're looking for a tank. You never know who has one in their garage or knows somebody who does.

Salvation Army, Goodwill, garage sales...Some people in one of the local papers here have even advertised that they're looking for a free tank. The following week more than one person was offering one in response to the query.

I got my 40 gallon long for 50 buck from a pet store here, they were using it as a display tank for their filters. It was a little chewed up but no cracks or anything.
