Oh I see! Glad I have an RES then after that whole Fishy debacle we had. Oh dear.

Lol, my cats all like to walk along the front edge at the bottom of the water line, then all 3 turts come swimming over, they r so greedy that anything passing in front of the tank is a possible feeder!!

Maybe a better name for Fishy would have been "Lunch" My goldfish names are breakfast lunch and dinner.

lol Well I hadn't planned on getting attached but it turned out "lunch" became a tank buddy for 3 months. lol

What are you emptying it with? A shop vac? I find them quite handy.

I think the trick to goldfish is size. The kind I have in my tank grow to a foot in length and are now about 3-4" I have a large tank so 3 foot long goldfish will not be a problem but I might have to look into better filtration.

Lol I used a hose pipe it still took 2 hours to empty tho, all refilled now (using a watering can) just waiting for settling woo hoo.xxx

why did you drain it? Sounds like you could use a waterbed drain kit!!
