I 100 percent agree on the python, I looked into them too. I am just going to use my fx6 to pump the water out the windows and into a flower bed. The sink puts out water way to slow for me. It took 45 minutes last to night to add 55 gallons or so. Took the garden hose 45 minutes to fill the whole tank.

I'm not sure that your water has enough contact time with the carbon in your filter to remove Chloramine. A lot of us use a whole house water filter with a carbon block filter. Something to consider.

Chloramine is the end result of adding ammonia to chlorine. That is what most water treatment plants do now days. Its not good for your turtles.

LOL, I know that sorry. No idea what a house filter is, but I saw the thread in equipment area. How much does that cost?

Wouldn't my fx6 run the tank water past the carbon alot more than that one?

The filters that go in a whole house filter are much smaller grain size and a lot more of it. So to answer your question. No. And its all about contact time. Your fx moves water so fast it doesn't come in contact with the carbon very long. I run the water to a whole house filter slow. More contact time!
