Looks very nice! Not sure how big that gravel is but perhaps you want to switch it to sand. How will the cover work with the intake tubes?

You got me thinking what color of sand? If you look at the somewhat of the diagram I am having wholes cut in the back of my he basking penthouse to accommodate all hoses and wires

Oh, when I said cover, I meant the heater cover.

As for the color sand... I like it when it's either very dark or very light, then throw in a handful of river rock the opposite color. The tanks with dark/black sand usually have more lighting.

Sorry to hear about your experience! I was not aware that glasscage.com made these types of tops. Have you gotten anywhere with your complaints? You should at the very least get a partial refund. As for drilling holes into acrylic, it's not too bad at all but I think a lot of it depends on the tools and thickness you have to deal with.

Well that went no where with big Apple.......I am planning on getting another rock wall for the upper tank to cover the hoses. The only thing is the hole in the basking platform I am worried about

That's above the water, right? You can simple just use some vinyl wrap. You might want to consider putting something over the bare acrylic though, so your turtle rests on something that is not completely smooth (to help the plastron dry).

IMO FOR THE MONEY I SPENT THE PENTHOUSE COULD BEEN PUT TOGETHER ALOT BETTER....AND MADE TO EACH CUSTOMERS TANK. THE SCREEN WILL DO BUT IT COULD OF BEEN PAINTED THE SAME COLOR AS THE PENTHOUSE...470.00 PLUS SHIPPING 225.00 = $695.00

AS FOR THE ROCK WALL BACK ROUND AND HEATER COVERS THE BACK ROUND COULD OF CAME WITH MAGNETS ALREADY INSTALLED THEY GIVE YOU 6...3/4 BLACK PLASTIC PIPE TO HOLD IT ON YOUR TANK
THE HEATER COVERS ALSO COULD OF CAME WITH MAGNETS OR SUCTION CUPS $350.00

I ENDED UP SILICON-ED EVERYTHING IN MY TANK
