Okay well i got my turt on sat. her name is angie! she is really cute and small. Well I heard someone say they will need a nesting area once they reach about 3 years old. I'm not planning on her having babies...so why do i need a nesting area :?:

Well if your turt is a hatchling, there is no way to tell if its a girl or boy yet until its 4" long. But if it is, females can lay eggs no matter if they have a male or not. If they dont have the proper area they will keep the eggs inside them which can harm them. After a while they will lay the eggs in water as a last resort but some wont even do that. If they dont, they eggs could break inside of them and hurt them.
Try to be like the turtle -- at ease in your own shell.
