Regarding your question about a light that gives off UVB and UVA rays and heat, there are mercury vapor lights that do all of this. Two popular ones are the Zoo-Med Powersun and T-Rex Active UVHeat. They're more expensive (but you can get them cheaper on-line) and they give off a lot of heat, so they're not recommended for small tanks.

Second-hand smoke isn't good for anyone. I recently read that dogs who live with owners that smoke have a 60% greater chance of developing liung cancer. Why would turtles be immune to its negative effects?

Of course it would affect your turtles if you smk in the room! Just smk somewere else, then watch your turtles.

If you smk in your turtles room, they will turn into mutant nija turtles and kill you for giving them emphisima! :evil: :x
