just wondering how much are box turtles...not including their food, home, etc. and what local pet store can i find the most box turtles...cause everytime i go a pet store i always see tortoises which are like $120+

I got mine for $350 on special order but I'm in Canada.

Dog cost you $350? That's crazy expensive. I had no idea they were could be that expensive.

He's a cutie, and totally worth it though.

He's definetly worth it. Wouldn't trade him for the world. I'm actually considering going back to that store to get his 'brother' because they've had him since October.

Not more than any other turtle I'd imagine. I'd keep them separate anyway because the other one doesn't look well. That's part of why I want to go get him.

Box turtles are, in my experience, very social. Some like company more than others. Some are bullies and attack others, steal food, etc. They are more social than RES appear to be.

How much one costs depends on the species. Yo would do best to contact your local turtle rescue agency and see if they have turtles for adoption. That way you will be giving a good home to a turtle in need.

Check out a local rescue society. You may be able to find a good pet for less money (and they need homes too!) :)

Techbot- the high price was probably due to the importation costs. Jenaero is in Canada.
