Hey! I am an owner of two Red-Eared Sliders, Sam and Nelly (hence the username). I'm pretty new to turtle-keeping, so if anyone has some great tips and tricks about the caretaking of RES, please feel free to drop me a message.
I just got home today from a trip with Sam and Nelly. I went for 7 hours to another state, and after two weeks: 7 hours back! They're great little troopers though. Well, Nelly sleeps in his damp paper towel while Sam gets out and romps around the whole seven hours. It's a lot to do, and a lot to worry about when the bottled water we have to used gets too cold, etc. ANYWAY-just wanted to leave everyone a message! I'd love to meet other Red-Eared Slider owners.
