On August 8th I posted a few pics of Abby and her tankmate Lucky the crayfish. As you recall, I found Lucky in my swimming pool and put him in with Abby.

Several of you asked, me included, if it would be ok to keep Lucky in the tank. Some even thought of following suit. Several folks recommended removing Lucky because he would wind up as a meal.

Oh, and I have 3 great kids and 1 fantastic husband!

It's tragic ,but the way you posted it made it hilarious :D Well lucky could have A. slowly died of chlorine in that pool or, quickly been ripped to shred by your turtle.

I don't know... I don't find it funny because it was unnecessary and potentially harmful to the turtle.

poor crayfish.....used to have one as a pet but it bit me and i put him back in the stream where i found him.

Steve's right... I don't find it funny as well... shellfish can harm your turtle. They are known to carry something that can contribute to shell rot in your turtle if eaten and their shell is very hard for your turtle to digest. This could have been prevented. :(
