What do you mean they aren't floating? Are they swimming at all or did they just sink to the bottom and stop moving? Is there anywhere for them to climb out of the water and bask? also what size are they?

Do you have RES (Red Ear Sliders)? If so, they are aquatic turtles and prefer to live in plenty of water where they can swim freely. If they swam away from you when you put them in the pond, I wouldn't worry as they love to explore or they could be hiding right now cause they're afraid or uncertain of their new surroundings. If they are healthy then you will see them again once they get settled in and feel safe.

mine disappeared for a couple hours when I put them in their new 70 gallon pond. I had to drain it a little to find one of them! Not being able to submerge is a much worse sign in aquatic turtles than diving deep and hiding. As long as there isn't anything that they can get stuck in or under in the pond, they should be fine.
