Turtle diets and eating habits discussed here.

Post Posted: Sat Jul 26, 2008 6:23 pm   Mazuri Aquatic turtle diet*UPDATE* 8/9/08* Came in!

I finally found a place that sells it, and just ordered some. It was a really good deal, a 1lb bag for only $8.59! It came to $13.98 shipped.
This was the website: http://www.turtlestuff.com/shop/?shop=1&cat=28
The best part, they are in CA so it should only take a couple days to get here.

I also found the 1lb bag at the mazuri website, but it was more expensive. https://www.mazuri.com/Shop/Products/pr ... al=aquatic

So where have you found Mazuri pellets?

My intention with this thread was to make it easy for people to get Mazuri since it is kind of hard to find. 8)

Mazuri is a very well respected brand. Plus, turtles think Mazuri pellets taste good!

Mandyb, could you please resize your avatar? It's taking up more than half my computer screen!

They are both good. It's nice to offer both to your turtle, one brand one day, another brand the next. That way, your turtle gets the benefits of both.

I've never seen Mazuri anywhere locally.

Does anyone now where, or if, it can be purchased at a Canadian store or website?

I would think you could buy it direct from Mazuri, just pay a little extra shipping?

I don't know, from my analysis of the turtle foods (Reptomin, Turtle Bites, Mazuri), all I can tell is that Turtle Bites and Mazuri are nearly identical, with the major difference in that the Turtle Bites contain veggies and fruits. But they are nearly identical. I'd like more info on how Mazuri is therefore top of the line.

I currently feed a combo of Reptomin and Turtle Bites and based on my analysis, I don't see a reason to go searching out Mazuri.

Please enlighten me!

A lot has to do with Mazuri's reputation. I would personally like to see a complete nutritional break down of all the major pellets, however we can only compare what information is published. I'm also on a Reptomin and Turtle Bites mix, though will likely add some Mazuri in as well.
