Image

Residents:
1 YBS
2 RES
15-18 Apple Snails
5 Goldfish (they're huge now)
15-18 Guppies
5-8 baby crawfish (as live food)

I also added new plants, wood branches and some new rocks. The plants near the basking areas have grown considerably and are now huge, as you can see.
I'll add some clearer pics as soon as I have some free time (and sunny weather).
Thanks.

What are the dimensions of the tank?

Be very careful with all the plants and stuff coming out of the tank like that. The turtles can easily climb right up them and escape.

What kind of filtration are you using?

The tank dimensions are approximately:

52"x20"x22"h

At the moment i got a Fluval 405 and a Eheim Prof 2 2026 running at the same time.
Lucky Bamboo isn't poisonous.. well, just a bit, but they don't eat it anyway.

I found it second hand on kijiji (paid it 150$ with its cabinet and all), the owner used to use it as a saltwater aquarium. It's really long which i found very useful using corkbar for the basking areas instead of an atba.

Yesterday I added some duckweed I found in a small pond nearby and some mosquitofish I catched with a fishing net in a lake, I think they're nice additions. Plus, I added a fake grass resting area submerged near the right corkbar basking area, the turtles like it a lot:

The white thing in the top left is a spot lamp, small i think 15w but i don't use it anymore. I have a problem with the mosquitofish though. After a day they started to chase around the other fishes especially guppies. Even though they're almost all female (except one male) they're still pretty aggressive.
The poor guppies are hiding around frightened.
