Don't heat the pond. If you heat the pond, the air temperature will still be cold enough to put her into shock or give her a RI. Either bring her inside or let her hibernate and don't bother her at all.

It wasn't too much to build our pond. I think we got our 125G liner and pump for $100. Found a deal on Craigslist. You'll spend more time than money setting it up.

Keep them in a heated house. If you're going to heat the water, the air has to be warm too, or vice versa. Either they go into hibernation or they don't. You don't want the grey area in between.

Make sure to keep the air warm too, or you'll get a respitory infection.
