Zoo med makes a good dock. It comes in three sizes - small, medium and large. I don't know that the paint comes off (it's not really painted - it's made of a colored foam material) but in a few cases turtles have started eating it. We think they may have tried to eat the docks because they needed calcium in their diet. I used zoo med docks for several years without a problem - Spot never tried to chew one - but then he always had a cuttlebone in his tank.

I've had docks for the two years I've had Mikey and I've never had a problem with them.

Besides the gravel issue the only other thing I see is that it looks like the stand is sagging in the middle. Maybe it's just the way the light is hitting the metal but if it is actually sagging I'd move the tank to the floor, you don't want to deal with the mess a broken tank leaves behind :-).
You may want to consider a floating dock to give more swimming space for lola and because it's not ideal to have such an abrasive basking area as you have now, it can damage her shell.
Also, you'll notice that once the gravel is gone the water will stay much cleaner as less debris is trapped in areas the filter isn't strong enough to clean out.
Other than that it looks like you're off to a good start.
Lola's a cutie by the way.

Thank you for the input, im considering either buying a acrylic turtle ramp or making one out of untreated wood. I think i will buy some larger river rocks for my substrate. The stand isnt sagging it does look that way in the picture thou, i cant figure out why, but i do no its not sagging. :)

Yes the hiding thing is normal.... I've had mine for.... 6 months or so. Just now is he/she not diving the second I walk in the room, about 10 seconds later, but getting better. And its rather new for Sheldon to even come to the surface when I'm near its tank. Usually would go diving behind plants to hide.... Getting better slowly.
