more pics! again ignore the dates. o and im sad to say hersheys not here with us....in the pictures. hes so hyper and just wont stop moving for one second...he explores the tank all the time it makes me dizzy @.@. ill get pics of him next time when i catch him basking. these are pics of little foot and tails, mostly tails haha

Mmmmmm..nice warm basking time. This time he's partially up right while resting on the rock.

close up of tails' face.

littlefoot, once again is hiding/resting underneath tails..except this time, the picture is clearer. he is soo cute XD.
Image

tails at feeding time, you can see i couldnt take a good shot due to the fact that tails goes nuts when i feed him.
Image

now, i have a crucial question. all this time that i had with tails i strongly believed that he was a male, but now im having second thoughts. last time i checked his size (about a month ago) he was 4.5 inches. i havnt measured him now, but he seems a lot bigger. also his nails and his shell dont really fit well into a male's description. if it were a male, his claws should behuge by now right?

here are some pics, tell me what you think.

Looks like a "she". Can you take a pic of the underside of the tail?

I vote female. There's the nails, of course, and there's something different about the females' faces compared to the males. More rounded noses I think. More rounded carapace too.

that reminds me. today i was feeding my babies and they have to be the exact same size as Hershey's and LittleFoot. but anyway i dropped a piece of food in there and chris my 1" swam up and began eating it. but snappers my 2" wanted some of my other turtle's food also so he was swimming franticly around him on him every ware. until he got so pissed that he bit him in the leg. i was so surprised because they have been together for over a month now. i flicked the side of the cage until he let go (i did not bang the cage i just flicked it with my finger till he let go) There was no blood and i do no think it fazed chris. he was just hungry. snappers has never been so aggressive before i don't know what got into him he used to be so mellow. if he keeps it up im putting him in another tank.

thats a good idea, turtles are usually calm but when it comes to food, they lose all sense of self-control. But a 2" wont be able to do that much damage to a 1", the size difference is almost insignificant, but i would still go with the separate tanks thing. i decided to separate mine in about 3 days after putting em together after imagining all the potential harm a 5 incher can do on small 1.5"ers
