Yea, untsmurf's turtle killed another turtle before...

I had a friend with a RES that killed two of it's tankmates...

He's right, Mikey did. Donatello (the RES that passed away) ending up starving because Mikey was so territorial. And I got them the same day and they were the same size and from the same tank (at the store); so don't think that doing any of those things with reduce your chances of having a dead turtle. Sometimes there's nothing you can do.

I just wish I had known then what I know now.

Explain to your mom they are like beta fish, and they fight over territory and if they don't get along. My mom understood when I said that.

yea.. but she sees them at the store and she says "aw they are so cute all sitting on a rock on top of each other.."

i wish she felt the same way about my fish ands dogs.. and cat.. but no.. she loves my turtle the most

dont worry tho, i will make sure not to get another one and if i find one on my door step, ill have to get another tank or give it to someone else.
