Ahhhh so that's the log. I may have to see if I can find one locally. My guys love getting on the piece of cork bark but its too small for both of them and I haven't been able to find one big enough yet.

lol the pic of him with the water lettuce is so adorable.. its bigger than he is!!

Is that log made out of resin and painted? I have an ESU platform and after frequent cleanings (grrr algae) the paint came off. Now its partially white - and still a little green.

where do you live carol ? I am by pittsburgh so you should be able to find one if not maybe i can send one to ya. I looked on the box to see what it was made of and it said it was a special type of urethane that allows the log to float. it has the bottom side a little heavier so it floats. I couldn't get mine to stay still because of all the circulation from the supreme filter aand when i seen kermie tryin to bask on the log , I still had his dock in there, I decided to take the doc out but I couldnt get it to stay still so what i did was i took the metal off the dock with the siction cups on it and stuck that through the log and to the tanks. It is working so far and kermie loves it ! It did say that it will grow algae but to just brush it off with a tooth brush. I know what you mean steve by the paint coming off that has happened to alot of my castles in my fish aquariums. I really love this log though It makes it look and feel more down home in the tank. The fish like it too. which that reminds me Iw as feeding kermie the other day and he had a pellet in his mouth and the fish actually came up and was eatting off the other end of the pellet !! these are baby pellets to !!! Kermie didnt even pay no mind! it was funny !

I live in northeast Pennsylvania :)

Did you get it at a local pet store or at one of the chains, like Petco/Petsmart? I've found large pieces of cork bark online but it seems ridiculous to spend so much on the s/h for just that.. most sites I found it on had nothing else I wanted.

I got it at a local pet shop. I would think that they should get them at like petsmart and stuff to. this was new to the pet shop it was the only one they had and they were getting more.I think I paid $28.98 for it.let me know if you want me to get one and send it .
