well I don't know if some of you remember, but before I took a break from the forum about 5 months ago, I had acquired a 55 gallon tank from my brother in law. I said I would post pictures of my setup when I finished it, but I have not done that until now! I just finished doing a maintenance check on the entire tank because I was putting my NEW emperor filter :]
so the tank looks nice and spiffy for you all

in this past week my smallest turtle escaped twice...I think it was in a small opening where the eggcrate serves as a cover for the tank on the right side...so I made a new one with NO openings. haha

they were in separate containers because I was cleaning the tank and stuff. It's hard for me to operate when they keep splashing and biting hahaha

Wow, this is a very impressive tank - you must be very proud of all of your hard work. Love that t-rex, especially! Where in your home is this habitat set-up?

Having a tank in the office seems to be the best, since that room always tends to stay less active.

I really like the vine, and the t-rex, they're nice touches.

The basking area looks like it took a long time, but it came out great.

My DIY basking area is a lot less polished than others have made theirs. I don't have any glue holding the pieces down at all, I'm kind of lazy and impatient for the curing. The zipties did me justice along with some eggcrate. I'm still convinced that eggcrate is turtle owners best friend.
