Is that gravel or sand? It's too hard to tell...

Anyways, it's really pretty!
Spike - Egyptian mau mix, 8 years old
Phryne - Japanese bobtail, 9 months old
Hurricane - RES, 8 yo, 6 1/2 in. long
Typhoon - RES/Map hybrid, 8 yo, 7 in. long
Sadie - RES, 20 yo, 10 in. long
Sophie - Colombian red tail boa, 5 yo, 5 ft. long

I would raise the water level. It is fine where it is at now, but if you can, I would.

More swimming room.

it is already 3x his shell length, the water level, i need to upgrade more and i would love to...

Light diffusers (egg crates) are a great, cheap way to enclose the top of your tank. It will allow you to fill your tank up all the way and you can customize it. You can get it for $10 for a 4'x2' sheet at your local hardware store.
