Novroz, to my way of thinking, an RES that's grown up in the wild, is wild and should remain there. A hatchling that's captive bred, or even on that's found, but may not be able to survive on its own is to me a different story. This goes for other creatures, whether or not they're considered "good luck."

I'm very sorry he died, though.

Artbook, I hadn't realized you were such a world traveler and are so well read on other cultures of the world...

I don't travel... lol. I just read a lot. When you work with kids for a while, you start learning a ton about different cultures.

Novroz- Well, something she ate would definitely do it. Or it could just be that wild caught animals don't typically live as long as captive bred animals.

The artbook>> I don't think so....like I said before...a friend of my father's friend has a 10years old tokay gecko and it was originally wild animal like toga. And Toda and Tosa are still healthy up to today :)

Blackforces>> we still have 2 more tokays :) Toda and Tosa

That very well may be due to genetics then, if it wasn't something she ate.

Do all of your tokays eat the same food from the same container? If so, then the others being alive, and Toga not, would mean it's not the food.

After all, Toga wasn't a typical tokay by any means. Not that this is the case with all gentle animals, but my cat has the most wonderful personality, and she is prone to losing teeth, and has awful weight gain.

Black forces- I'm all right with kids, but I can always see room for improvement. I'm sure all teachers can at some point.

all of them eat the same food...maybe it is like what you said, the other tokays are not gentle....I can't touch them coz they are very vicious
