One of the new painteds. That photo makes him look dark but hes as green as the male above. Greener actually.

ooo in the camera it makes it look black. but thats a dark green. painteds look cool i would want one

By the way, missy, you are starting to make me really want a painted now.

Is there any difference in personality among the four types, or is the only difference just the names themselves?

I have noticed no difference in personalities. There all hyper turtles lol.

Just size and color. Westerns- 8-10inches, Midlands- 7-6inches, Eastern- 6-5inches, Southerns 4-5inches.

Westerns look the neatest, Southerns are smallest but there just black and orange. hey if you spend the money and get a high colored s .painted from turtlesource [not reputable] they are really neat.

This is them about 3months after i got them. They started the same size lol western grew way faster then southern

I think your Western painted might turn out to be a boy, if that's a very recent photo.
