Hi everyone

Breeding is prohibited at my rescue, and I keep all the breeding sized males and females separated. That being said, I have no control over the conditions the turtles are in before they come to me.

ID#72 Natasha came to me with a large group of full sized turtles from a pet store and she was very much pregnant. With me being pro life I incubate any eggs I recover from the turtles in the slight chance that they hatch.

Well here's the surprise I got this morning!!

Wow! So very tiny, and so very cute! How many eggs, and how many have hatched so far?

I've seen you on the other forum, and I think the work you do is just great! I know you'll find great homes for all those new little ones :)

So far 3 of them have hatched. I'm only expecting 1 more. I checked them all under a powerful light and the rest seem to be unfertilized. But I'll still give them a few more weeks to be sure.

They are so cute. I love the pictures of the mom watching the baby. Is she the mom?

Those comparison pics are great! The baby could fit in the big guy's mouth!
